QEDIT, a Privacy-Enhancing Technology (PET) provider, is delighted to announce the appointment of Daniel Benarroch to the role of Director of Research. Having spent nearly four years as QEDIT's Lead Cryptographer, Benarroch's cryptographic expertise and experience will help the company further develop state-of-the-art solutions that facilitate secure data collaboration between companies.

Commenting on his appointment, Daniel Benarroch, Director of Research for QEDIT, said, "I am thrilled to build on my tenure with QEDIT, and to continue contributing to the privacy-by-design vision of the company – a vision I am firmly aligned with. Over the past number of years, I have had the wonderful opportunity to study and refine a wide range of privacy-enhancing techniques, and work alongside some truly brilliant people who have helped direct my career trajectory. I look forward to continuing my work with our esteemed scientific advisors and Professor Aviv Zohar, QEDIT's Chief Scientist, to deliver real-world data privacy solutions that drive industry adoption of advanced cryptographic technologies."

Prior to his appointment, Benarroch served as QEDIT's Lead Cryptographer and principal organizer of ZKProof, where he helped build a global community of leading cryptographers and practitioners to drive the standardization of Zero-Knowledge Proof cryptography, a role he will maintain going forward. He is an editor and active contributor to the ZKProof Community Reference document and has been granted several patents surrounding blockchain systems based on ZKP technology and SNARK algorithms.

Benarroch holds a Master's degree in applied mathematics and computer science from the Weizmann Institute where his research was focused on improving the security and efficiency of fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) schemes under the supervision of Prof. Zvika Brakerski.

Jonathan Roauch, CEO and Co-Founder of QEDIT said, "I would like to formally congratulate Daniel for his richly deserved promotion to Director of Research. With a stellar track record demonstrating technological excellence, strong cryptographic acumen and leadership skills, Daniel will play a central role in sustaining QEDIT's arc of growth. In his new position, Daniel will direct the design of new and innovative cryptographic protocols, alongside trusted standards, that will strengthen our company's offering, and accelerate wider adoption of cryptographically-secure data privacy solutions."
